The advantages of a professional website
As the price of a professional website is usually prohibitive, numerous bands create themselves their webpage or ask a friend to do it. It is a brave move but it sometimes produces the contrary of the desired effect!
Non-professional websites are non-evolutive, you will depend on the webmaster’s availability for any update you will make in the future. The design often leaves much to be desired and concerning the free hosting companies, most of them require you to place advertisements on your website. You will also regret it because your bandwidth and disc space will be very limited and thus you won’t be able to upload mp3’s or any large file on your website.
Myspace, essential but not enough!
Myspace has become nowadays an essential tool for a band, but Myspace doesn’t replace an internet website.
Myspace provides information related to the band in one and only page, which often get confusing and messy, not to mention the time it needs for all the information to be loaded.
